Dear Colleague,

We are approaching one year since a majority of all ARs (over 3,000) filed a petition to form a union, Academic Researchers United/UAW 5810. That should be more than enough time to bargain a contract, but UC Administration is delaying the process. Will you take a moment to add your name to this petition calling on UC to stop the delays and negotiate a fair contract now?

In the last 11 months, UC has created delays at and away from the bargaining table, including:

  • Waiting 6 months to recognize the union and begin bargaining;
  • Failing to make proposals on many major topics including Compensation, Benefits, Retirement, Promotions, Bridge Funding, and more;
  • Not providing basic information about Academic Researcher working conditions that is relevant to making proposals; and
  • Unlawfully withholding 3% raises that were planned to happen on July 1.

Please add your name to the petition today!

In solidarity,

Academic Researchers United / UAW 5810 Bargaining Team
